I enjoy watching the
hummingbirds but there are large red ants in my area that love to feast on the hummingbird food and contaminate the water.
The ants simply marched past any amount of Vaseline that I slathered on the original hanger. In the heat of the day the Vaseline
melted and created a mess.
The desire to keep the feeders gave birth to this creation.
The copper dish is filled with a small amount of cooking oil to prevent the ants from getting to the hummingbird food
